Misconduct Hearings
Similar to a Coronial Inquest, a Commissioner presiding over a misconduct hearing may compel a witness to answer all questions despite self-incrimination.That fact should not, however, create a “mind-set” that legal representation is not necessary.
The requirement to answer all questions does not give the inquisitor the right to badger or bully a witness.
Andrew’s presence as an experienced specialist lawyer will not only ensure our client is treated properly but ensure our client is given the opportunity to clarify any answers given under oath including those which appear equivocal or falsely prejudicial.
