Madeline graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Finance).

 

Prior to commencing her career as a solicitor, Maddi worked at Legal Aid Queensland in the Criminal Law division. This position involved working on complex legal matters and being the first port of call for clients.

 

Since starting her career at McGinness & Associates, Maddi has represented clients in hearings in the QLD Coal Mining Board of Inquiry and the Coroner’s Court. She has taken a particular interest in matters concerning police misconduct, natural resources and mining, sexual offences, drug offences and domestic violence.

 

Having worked at Legal Aid Queensland and assisting some of society’s most vulnerable people, Maddi understands the stress and anxiety experienced by those involved in the criminal justice system. She works to ensure that clients feel supported throughout the process whilst working to achieve the best possible outcome.

 

Outside of work commitments at McGinness & Associates, Maddi is a keen participant in and follower of all sports. She sits on the Gold Coast Basketball Tribunal.
